The last link has a nice tutorial about modelling a kitchen, one I also did. Most of the
steps are very good explained, and you will have to use the most common functions in
3D like extrude, inner extrude, lathe and hypernurbs etc. They use the Vray renderer
that is not included with Cinema4D.

If you are used to the basics of 3D, and are interested in organic modelling, (not modelling
a liver or a kidney, but models like humans, creatures etc) I can recommend you this tutorial:

http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.php

They use 3D studio max in this tutorial, but the technique is quite the same. Starting with 1
polygon and start extruding the edges and place them according to some guide images.

Here is another tutorial that explains some basic but realistic lighting, and which settings to
use. The method is good to make a “clay render” of your object. This is the link:

The tutorial below explains the basics of Hypernurbs. This is a method to smoothen up your model.
The idea is the same in all other 3d model software, in 3D studio max it is called mesh smooth or
turbosmooth. You can try it very easy by yourself. Insert a cube and put it into a hypernurbs object.
The cube will become a sphere. If you give the cube more segments, the sphere will start looking
like a dice. Here you can find an example: http://biorust.com/tutorials/detail/114/us/
